Did You Vote?

Okay, I know you're sick of the campaigning and you thought you were finally getting over it - and here I bring it up again. But I just want to remind you: if you don't vote, you get what you deserve. Oh yeah, that reminds me, at the November Technical Meeting at the FloValley Advanced Manufacturing Center, the following officers were voted in for 2005:

Chair: Ashok Agrawal
Chair Elect: Terry Altman
Secretary: Bob Winship
Treasurer: Parker Mundy

Yup, you thought you were rid of me but the bad penny returns. There are still many ways to help out the Chapter and join in the fun, however. The Executive Board has free monthly dinner meetings where we talk about the many worthy deeds accomplished. Contact any of the above named officers, or any of the listed Executive Board members, or just show up to the Board meetings.

In particular, as of this writing, we are in need of a Bulletin Editor. You don't have to write the articles, just gather them all together. A little cut and paste, send it off to the printer, and Voila! another publisher is born. This ain't the army - it's okay to volunteer.

I would like to thank all the folks who helped SME St Louis Chapter 17 survive and thrive this year. If you helped, you know who you are and you should be proud. If you didn't help, be very ashamed. There aren't many voices standing up for Manufacturing anymore so we need to be as strong and as vocal as we can be.

So - on to 2005. This is my last Message from the Chair. It's been a blast!
